Cameroonian urban music star girl, Daphne Njie was recently announced to participate in the 13th edition of the Festival des musiques urbaines d’Anoumabo (FEMUA) organized by the famous Ivorian musical group Magic System scheduled for April 14 to 19 2020.
Daphne finds herself in a list of top artistes from around Africa and Europe to participate at this event, including the likes of Youssou N’dour from Senegal, Koffi Olomidé from RD Congo, Diamond Platinum from Tanzania, Ariel Sheney from Ivory Coast, Mala Rodríguez from Spain, David Carrera from Portugal and many others. In a speech delivered during this launching ceremony, Ivorian artiste, A’Salfo, the FEMUA general commissioner, and vocal lead of the group Magic System, presented the main goals of this 2020 edition of this festival. He said they have several projects planned, including building two schools in Ivory Coast among other activities to be carried out.
Talking about Music and the innovations for this year, A’Salfo indicated that there will be the introduction of “Couleur Café”, a festival that will allow artists to come and play on the FEMUA scene and vice vice versa. As mentioned above, twenty-one artists from 13 countries will be participating in FEMUA concerts which will take place in Abidjan and Grand-Bassam (south of Abidjan).
