A weekend of Great Music in Cameroon!

Last weekend 18-20/06/2021 was one of it’s kind in the Cameroon music industry as a majority of artistes like Jovi, Tzy Panchak and Ko-c released huge projects causing traffic online and putting music fans in a dilemma on who to hype or listen to.

It started with Jovi as he surprised the music world with his first ever Mixtape just few days after releasing the #PressureEP unannounced. The project has been causing traffic with huge number of sales as revealed by one of his close collaborators Didier Toko. The Mixtape reportedly sold more than 22000 copies within 48hours. Jovi -Young Vizu Anointed Mboko Supreme

Rapper Minks released his much anticipated studio album titled #Urban_Bantou. The album has been received with so much excitement and satisfaction with people hailing his story telling abilities on the beats. The album is doing great with streams on boomplay.

Akumba Music queen Rinyu teamed up with Salatiel to deliver a danceable “summer song” titled #Iyori. Iyori is a single from her soon to be released first studio album “Black girl magic”. The visuals of the song can’t be left behind as director Chuzih did a great job with the video. Check out the song HERE

Serial hit maker Ko-C came back with a single off his upcoming album titled #chill, where he teamed up with Les Brasseries du Cameroun to promote their product ”Chill”. Chill has the ampiano vibe, a South African sound championed by the likes of Master KG. The song is doing great on YouTube with views. Check it out HERE

In a bid to give his father a befitting farewell, Tzy Panchak teamed up with Vivid, Cleo Grae, Stanley Enow and Mihney to pay homage to his father who died weeks back. #Daddy_yayato is an emotional song which talks about the sacrifices made by fathers to ensure their children gets the best in life. The video was directed by the Mr. Adrenaline. Watch HERE

Jovi again came with the official video of Strong Enemies, one of the songs in his mixtape “Young Vizu Anointed Mboko Supreme” few hours after releasing the mixtape. The newbell music boss showcased products like Henessy and Gimi powa which left the fans wonder if Jovi has deals with the liquor brands. The video is short by Ndukong and is available HERE

Defjam records rapper Tenor surprised fans with a musical EP titled #Tere_Mere moments after his rival MiNk’s released his album. The EP is available on streaming platforms like Spotify, boomplay, etc.

Majoie Ayi one of the best bikutsi artist in the country came back with a single titled “je ne sans pas” she’s coming back after being away from the music scene for some time. The video was directed by a fast rising director Oumaro Tao, trained at the famous feb16th video production House run by Ndukong under newbell music. The video has amassed huge number of YouTube views and is available HERE

Upcoming artistes also tried to make their presence felt by releasing projects the same period with top artistes. Chindo an upcoming femcee came back after her divorce with Atabong Music to tell us that she’s there and making moves that will make her claim the Queen of rap city throne. Watch HERE

Anye Byron also released a six track EP titled “Boy 2 Man” in which he preaches against hypocrisy, and other societal ills. The EP is available fir sale for 1000FCFA HERE
