Grammy nominated Nigerian artiste, Burna boy recently bagged a new award as African Artiste of the year at the Soundcity MVP Awards 2020.
The category for artiste of the year was made up of the biggest artistes in the continent in competition with Burna boy including Davido, Wizkid, Diamond Platnumz and Tiwa Savage. Burna Boy bagged this award and two others to return the biggest winner of the night.

Other artistes that returned with awards include Teni, Tiwa Savage, Joeboi, Naira Marley, Davido, Rema and Dj Spinall.
Cameroon’s Daphne who was nominated in the category “Best Female MVP” missed out on her first Sound city MVP award last night, when the Best Female MVP award was swept up by Nigeria’s Teni.
The 2020 Soundcity MVP awards saw outstanding stage performances by some Top African artistes including Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Tekno, Tiwa Savage and Nigeria’s new fishes Joeboy and Rema. Bonang Matheba was the Host and she made the show it a beautiful one alongside all awards presenters.
