Irene Alemnju AKA Ale Myz is a Cameroonian singer and songwriter based in the United States of America and signed to the label The Gaelo Outcome.
She began her professional music journey in 2015 by doing covers of great songs and doing them in her own style which showed her creativity. These covers included songs “Burn” by Ellie Goulding, “Bamboo” by Yemi Alade and “Samy” by Grace Decca.
In November 2015 during the concert of legendary Cameroonian artist, Petit Pays, Ale Myz premiered her first ever official single titled “Fire”. This piece produced by EC Neeba and Tam Gaelo is an inspirational song written by herself which received so much appraisals from the audience. The video of “Fire” dropped 4 months later, in April of 2016 directed by US-based Cameroonian video director MT Muna.
In July 2016, Ale Myz released her first EP/Mini Album project titled “The Prelude“, a compilation of 6 songs composed and performed by herself which introduced her into the Cameroonian music scene with a unique style and brand of music. “The prelude” included songs like “Take Our time”, “Summer Vibes”, “Falling”, “Only you”, “Fire” and “Going Higher”.
With this EP in the bag and one official video, Ale Myz and team engaged in performing in many outdoor events, promoting the EP and her highly acclaimed song “Fire“. She was the opening act at concerts for legendary African and Cameroonian artists like Petit Pays, Douleur, Dina Bell, Mr. Leo and Meiway.
Just over a year after dropping the “The Prelude” EP, Ale Myz dropped another EP, her second EP titled “Reminisce EP” in November of 2017 made up of 6 songs which mostly tells stories of her past especially at her younger ages. In the EP, she reminisced on how life was back then at her tender ages and how it made her into a strong lady that she is today. Featured in the EP three talented Cameroonian artists: Gee Reign (RIP), Mel B Akwen and Bonzyz who brought in more interesting flavor to the music.
In August of 2018, Ale Myz dropped a brand new video titled “My Story“. A song about a lady who had so much resentment towards men because of a bad experience which she went thru when she was a teenager. The song featured popular Cameroonian makeup artist Lenora Tee and Crystal Bih of the Crystal Beauty Show.
On November 10th 2018 in the buildup to the launch of a new video, she put together a private party for her fans in the city of Dallas Texas, and neighboring cities. The party was hosted by Krystn Enem,host of the Krystn Enem show on African Magic. In attendance was Lenora Tee (Cameroonian YouTuber and makeup artist) and many other actors in the Cameroon showbiz scene living in and around the city.
Ale Myz kicked start the year 2019 by dropping a brand another video titled U&I. In U&I, Ale Myz sings about an over protective and insecure lover. Featured in the video was Cameroonian artist, Banla.
Clearly Ale Myz has been putting in much work in perfecting her music. She is one of very few Cameroonian female artist who have dropped 2 EPs within the past 3 years added to her 3 music videos.
She started off with the covers trying to get the attention of the media and build a fan base and then moved on to the EPs. She has an amazing team behind her, providing all the support and backup.
